Beans, Beans, good for the heart, the more you eat, the more I’ll call you smart! 🤣

Beans are very high in minerals and very low in saturated fats.  This makes them a wonderful choice when you are looking out for the health of your heart.  Beans have been shown to lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and lower inflammation.  If you buy canned beans, look for low or no salt, and rinse if there is added salt.  And…ALWAYS buy organic when buying beans.  Beans that are grown to be dried, are sprayed to speed the drying process.

Here are 3 recipes for you to incorporate to get more beans into your life.

Try Pressure Cooker Rice and Bean Burritos for a fun family meal.  Pair it with salsa and guacamole to complete the meal.  It’s the perfect time of year for a warming soup, so try this Tomato Chickpea Soup to warm your heart.  And … I never forget dessert!  Try this Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. What do you mean Chocolate Chip Pie made with beans?😳 It not only has beans, it has heart-loving oats, as well. AND, you won’t taste the beans!  All good!
