Junior Chefs

Ages 10 -14

At The Wellness Cottage, 951 College Street

This class meets on Thursdays, 4:00 - 5:30 pm, twice a month, August through June.

Pick and choose which class you would like to attend or come to all!

This is a hands-on class where we will cook and sample healthy dishes and practice knife skills while learning about healthy foods using the USDA guidelines. We will learn about safety in the kitchen, how to read and follow recipes, and how to properly use different tools while we make delicious healthy treats and meals.

 $22 per class or 2 for $40

Private Class Available for All Ages

At your location

Small groups, your family, Mommy and Me.  Want to learn some new methods of cooking or some new ways to prepare your favorite foods in a healthier way?  Have a specific dietary preference or food allergies?  I am certified in Food Allergies, and I can teach you how to prepare meals using substiutes for most allergies and diets such as gluten free, mediterranean, or plant based.  I personally follow a whole food plant based diet with low sugar, oil, and salt, but I am formally trained in French cuisine and can help you prepare meals that suit your needs. Adult Classes

$20 per class

This is a hands-on class where we will cook and sample healthy dishes and practice knife skills while learning about healthy choices. Each month we'll create quick, healthy, simple meals around one subject.  We'll practice knife skills, learn some tricks to making food prep easier, and sample!  All skill levels are welcome!

Tuesday, October 15: French Party Class 2  (Cassoulet, French Lentil Stew, and an Apple Galette made with wholefood plant-based ingredients)

Tuesday, November 12: Sushi and Spring Rolls (Vegetables NO Raw Fish)

Tuesday, November 19: Thanksgiving Sides and Dessert

Saturday Kid's Class

At The Wellness Cottage, 951 College Street

One Saturday a month, 10:00am - noon  (August through June)

$22.00 per class

Kids age 10 - 14 meet once a month to create fun foods centered around this month's holiday.

This is a hands-on class that includes a nutrition lesson, 3-4 healthy recipes, lots of tasting and trying new foods, and fun!

Come learn about the Medicinal Qualities of 10 herbs and learn how to make and use herbal tinctures and extracts.  You will make and take home a Kid Friendly Echinacea Glycerite that you can use during this cold and flu season.
